Star in the heart of a sapphire-蓝宝石之光

The whole family admired her, but it was her father who perceived most clearly the special quality of his daughter. It was a quality that should not be tempered with. It was like the delicate glaze that distinguished fine porcelain from ordinary ware; like the bouquet of a vintage wine; like the star—in the heart of a sapphire.(Good Morning, Miss Dove p.22)

note:原文中最让我心动的,是“the star—in the heart of a sapphire.”
